The training of junior leaders is paramount important to maintain operational readiness and also to practice the mission command. In present day context military training is very important for maintain operational readiness. Keeping that on view with the direction of Commander Security Forces (Wanni) Major General C D Ranasinghe RWP RSP and under the supervision and guidance of General Officer Commanding of 65 Infantry Division Maj Gen Anil Samarasiri, a refresher course on Basic Tactics commenced to the NCOs in Security Forces (Wanni) AOR on 24th January 2022.
This course includes lectures and practical sessions on Map Reading, Basic Tactics, Internal Security, Tracking, Recconisins, Ambush, Leadership, Weapon Training and IHL & HR. 45 X ORs (1 x Sec each from particular bn) representing all Inf Divs under command to Security Forces (Wanni) are participating for the course which is consist 6 working days. The opening address conducted by the GOC 65 Inf Div Maj Gen Anil Samarasiri.
