CONDUCTING A LEADERSHIP WORKSHOP FOR WARRANT OFFICERS OF SECURITY FORCES (WANNI) AOR

According to the guidance of Commander Security Forces (Wanni) Major General C D Ranasinghe RWP RSP, two days workshop was conducted on the 18th and 19th of January 2022. It was organized with the aim of upgrade the standard, leadership qualities and commanding ability of Warrant Officers, adhering to the Covid - 19 health protocols.

This workshop was conducted for 110 Regimental Sergeant Majors and Warrant Officers Class II who are performing duties in Security Forces (Wanni) AOR. Other than that 13 Warrant Officers including 07 Regimental Sergeant Majors were attended for the said workshop by representing Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps.

Regimental Sergeant Major WO I PGMSS Jayaweera USP of Army Headquarters, former Regimental Sergeant Majors of Sri Lanka Military Academy - Diyathalawa, WO I BDS Hemachandra (Retd) and WO I KRA Senavirathne (Retd) delivered lectures on duties and responsibilities of Warrant Officers, management skills, funeral formalities, discipline and etc. Further GOC 56 Infantry Division Major General L D S S Liyanage RSP USP psc Hdmc delivered lecture on leadership.

At the termination of the workshop GOC 56 Infantry Division Major General L D S S Liyanage RSP USP psc Hdmc presented plagues and certificates to the all Warrant Officers and lecturers who attended for the workshop. BGS, BAQ, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of Security Forces Headquarters (Wanni) participated for the closing ceremony.
