Field Engineering Basic Module Corse and Humanitarian Demining Course for Sri Lanka Women’s Corps commenced on 30th December 2021 at Field Engineer Brigade – Boo Oya, Vavuniya. This is the first Humanitarian Demining Course, given to women soldiers by Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers and 02 Lady Officers and 30 women Other Ranks are following course.
The Commander Security Forces (Wanni), Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps and Chairman of National Rifle Association Major General C D Ranasinghe RWP RSP visited the training area to inspect the training and addressed the trainees on 2nd January 2022. In his address, he explained the importance of the course and advised trainees to complete course successfully, so that it would help them in their future activities specially in going to serve the peacekeeping operations of United Nation.
