NEW RECRUITS PASS OUT FROM 65 INFANTRY DIVISION BATTALION TRAINING SCHOOL - MULANKAVIL

A total of 308 new recruits trained at the Battalion Training School - 65 Infantry Division under course No 2, completed three month successful training at the BTS - Mulankavil under the close supervision and direction of the 65 Infantry Division and 651 Infantry Brigade.

New recruits belongs to Sri Lanka Artillery - 16, Sri Lanka Engineers - 28 , Sri Lanka Signal Corps - 29 , Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment - 37 Gajaba Regiment - 09, Engineer Service Regiment - 66, Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police - 15, Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps - 22, Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps - 35, Sri Lanka National Guard - 51

With the invitation of the Chief Instructor of BTS Lieutenant Colonel Sumith Priyantha, Commander 651 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier Wasantha Bandara graced the ceremony as the Chief Guest and delivered the closing address by emphasizing the soldier’s responsibilities and importance of maintaining high standard of discipline, performance of duties and highlighted that, the Armed Forces are the cornerstone of a state and human security.

S/2021VFRD09718 Recruit Senevirathne ARS - ESR received the award for the Best Shooter, S/2021VFRD09617 Recruit Sadeepa HGS - SLNG, received the award for the Best Recruit and S/2124608 Recruit Chandrasiri SCID - SLCMP carried the award for the Best in Physical Training. They accepted those awards from the day's Chief Guest. Officer instructors, instructors and admin staff participated in the ceremony, adhering to stipulated health guidelines.
