A SCHOOL EQUIPMENT DONATION PROGRAMME CONDUCTED FOR THE STUDENTS OF LOW INCOME FAMILIES IN 54 INFANTRY DIVISION AOR

With the aim of enhancing education level of children in law income families and enhance the collaboration between the Military and civilians living in 15 (V) Gamunu Watch AOR under 542 Infantry Brigade, a stock of school equipments donation programme was conducted for selected 54 students of low income families belongs to MN/Isamalathathiv Primary School, MN/Thampaneikulam Primary School and MN/Pannevettuwan Tamil Mixed School Mannar, with the guidance of General Officer Commanding 54 Infantry Division Major General U D Wijesekara RWP RSP USP rcds psc, on 23rd December 2021 at Isamalathathiv Community Hall Murunkan.

The programme was sponsored by Peoples Bank Anuradhapura branch, Pasidu Sweet House Galewela and Telecom-Mobitel Privet Limited Mannar branch. General Officer Commanding 54 Infantry Division, Brigade Commander 542 Infantry Brigade, Civil Affairs Officer 54 Infantry Division, Commanding Officers of Battalions, senior Officers, Principals and Staff of the schools were presented on the occasion.
