SRAMADANA CAMPAIGN IN 62 INFANTRY DIVISION AOR

As a result of discussion held with General Officer Commanding 62 Infantry Division Major General Upali Gunasekara RWP USP IG and officers of farmers society, a Sramadhana campaign has been conducted by the troops of 11th Battalion the Gamunu Watch, under the instruction of Commander 623 Infantry Brigade Brigadier Rohan Medagoda and, with the supervision of Commanding Officer 11 GW Lt Col Prasad Karunarathna at Weherathanna on 12th November 2021.

The aforesaid programme was organized together with 01 x15 troops from 11 GW, 15 x members from farmers society – Weherathanna, and they construction of Spill of Weherathanna Tank together with the Mahaweli Authority of sector "L", famers and residents of Weherathenna village; in order to facilitate cultivation during Maha Kannaya Season.
