BRIGADIER D N J FERNANDO RSP USP ASSUMES OFFICE AS THE NEW BRIGADIER GENERAL STAFF OF SECURITY FORCES HEADQUARTERS (WANNI)

Brigadier D N J Fernando RSP USP assumed office as the new Brigadier General Staff of Security Forces Headquarters (Wanni) in an auspicious time on 17th Nov 2021.

Brigadier D N J Fernando RSP USP is from Commando Regiment and has held numerous important appointments during his military career in Command and Staff appointments at various levels. Within the Regiment he has held Platoon Commander, SQN Commander, Unit Second in Command and Commanding Officer appointments. In Command status out from the Unit, he had performed as Brigade Commander.

Before appointing as the Brigadier General Staff in Security Forces Headquarters (Wanni) Brigadier D N J Fernando has served as the Brigade Commander of 142 Infantry Brigade.
