Army medical troops along with 21 Infantry Division carried out vaccination programme for the residents of Midiwatta Ranaviru Village - Kekirawa on 28 August 2021. The vaccination programme was supervised by General Officer Commanding of 21 Infantry Division Major General Mohan Rathnayaka and Commander 212 Infantry Brigade Brigadier Rohan Rajapaksa.
The national drive, fully supported by the Army as per directions of Head, National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO), Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army General Shavendra Silva, Commander Security Force (Wanni) Major General Hemantha Bandara, Coordinate for vaccination Programme in respective areas in SF (Wanni).
