Army medical troops along with SFHQ (Wanni), 21,54, 56, 62 and 65 Divisions carried out mobile vaccination programme for elderly people above 60 years of age, sick, handicapped and feeble ones continuing on the 23rd August 2021 in SF (Wanni) area. (Anuradhapura, Mannar, Vavuniya, Padavi Sri Pura, Thunukkai).
The national drive, fully supported by the Army as per directions of Head, National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO), Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army General Shavendra Silva, Commander Security Force (Wanni) Major General Hemantha Bandara, Coordinate for vaccination Programme in respective areas in Wanni. The vaccination programme was supervised by respective General Officer Commanding of 21, 54, 56, 62,65 Divisions and Brigade commanders.
