62 INFANTRY DIVISION TROOPS GIVE A NEW LOOK TO VIHARA HALMILLEWA TEMPLE

As per the direction of His Excellency the President on the account of “Gama Samaga Pilisandarak programme” at Kebithigollewa, 5 (V) GR troops remodeled the old Sangawasaya of Viharahalmillewa Rajamaha Viharaya beneath the supervision of Colonel Rohan Medagoda Commander 623 Infantry Brigade with the guidance of Major General Hemantha Bandara the Commander of Security Force (Wanni) and Major General Upali Gunasekara General Officer Commanding of 62 Infantry Division.

After renovation the Sangyawasaya was offered to monks’ utilize on 13 July 2021 by Major General Hemantha Bandara the Commander of Security Force (Wanni) at the event organized by 62 Infantry Division. To mark the event, Seth Prith chanting and alms giving for monks were also took place concurrently. ESR troops of 62 infantry Division showcased their creating aptitudes in order to give the modern explore for the Sangayawasaya.
