CIVIL MILITARY COORDINATING CONFERENCE HELD AT HEADQUARTERS 62 INFANTRY DIVISION

A Civil-military coordinating conference was held on 20 April 2021 at the conference hall of headquarters 62 Infantry Division. General Officer Commanding – 62 Infantry Division, Brigadier Upali Gunasekera RWP USP IG headed the meeting with key linchpins of civil community in the area.

Divisional Secretary - welioya Assistant Divisional Secretary - Padaviya, Mahaweli Regional Project Manager, all OICs of Police Stations, Forest Officers, Padaviya Hospital Chief Medical Officer attended for the meeting, Each member explained their role and task and current activities conducted by them and thereafter it was discussed about Disaster mitigation plan, poaching, deforestation, land issues and present COVID-19 pandemic situation in the area of responsibility of 62 Infantry Division. Brigade Commanders and all COs along with Division Staff Officers also attended for the meeting.
