On the guidance given by the Commander Security Force Wanni Maj Gen Hemantha Bandara RWP RSP USP and GOC 54 Infantry Division Maj Gen Indrajith Bandara RWP RSP USP ndu, a newly constructed house was handed over to the needy family of Mrs S Vineetha in Urumalai, Talaimannar on 03 March 2021 by the Commander 543 Infantry Brigade, Brig Imal Assalaratchi USP. The ceremony was attended by the officers of 54 Infantry Division and 543 Infantry Brigade, Regional Director Health Services of Mannar District Dr S Vinodan and Dr Bhagya Weerawardana of Base Hospital Talaimannar. It was Dr Bhagya Weerawardana who coordinated and provided the funds required to build the house. The project was undertaken as part of 23rd anniversary celebrations of the Headquarters Security Force Wanni. The construction was done by the troops of 11thRegiment Sri Lanka Artillery, under the supervision of Commanding Officer Lt Col Viraj Abeysinghe RSP USP.
