WANNI COMMANDER MAKES OFFICIAL VISITS TO UNDER COMMAND FORMATIONS

The recently appointed Commander Security Forces - (Wanni) Major General D M H D Bandara RWP RSP USP visited 56 Infantry Division, its’ under Command Brigades and Battalions on 30th & 31st January 2021 in Kokeliya area.

First day the visiting Commander was honored with a Guard Turnout at Headquarters 56 Infantry Division and invited to plant a sapling at Division premises by the General Officer Commanding 56 Infantry Division Brigadier A A D N S P Dunuwila RWP RSP USP. Thereafter a briefing on role & tasks of 56 Infantry Division was conducted by the General Officer Commanding to the Commander Security Force (Wanni) which was followed by a field visit to Headquarters 561 Infantry Brigade and Commander Security Force (Wanni) was invited to plant a sapling at camp premises by the Brigade Commander. Thereafter Commander Security Forces - Wanni visited 17th (V) Vijebahu Infantry Regiment and 16 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment.

Second day the visiting Commander was honored with a Guard Turnout at Headquarters 563 Infantry Brigade which was followed by planting a sapling in the Brigade premises. After that Commander Security Forces - Wanni visited headquarters 563 Infantry Brigade premises. Later Commander Security Forces - Wanni visited the Sapumalgaskada temple and 21st Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment. General Officer Commanding 56 Infantry Division Brigadier A A D N S P Dunuwila RWP RSP USP, Commander 561 Infantry Brigade Brigadier R M P S B Rathnayake, Commander 563 Infantry Brigade Colonel K A P Perera RSP and Senior Officers of Security Force Headquarters (Wanni), 56 Infantry Division and Battalions attended the events.
