Foundation stone laying ceremony for the construction of a new house, for the family of Mr. Janaka Senarath Bandara, got underway on 25 Jan 2021 at Navodagama Grama Niladhari Division in Mahawillachchiya, under the patronage of Commander 213 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier KAN Rasika kumara psc. Financial assistance for the construction will be provided by a group of philanthropists in the area and construction will be undertaken by 5 (V) Sri Lanka Light Infantry Battalion.
This community programme will be implemented according to the concept of the Commander Security Force (Wanni), Major General DMHD Bandara RWP RSP USP, with the guidance of General Officer Commanding 21 Infantry Division, Major General HLVM Liyanage RWP RSP ndu. Second In Command, 5 (V) Sri Lanka Light Infantry Major HMJ Premathilaka RSP, Civil Affairs Officer 213 Infantry Brigade, Major EDSK Deniyaya and a group Officers and Other Ranks took part in the Occasion.
