THE NEWLY APPOINTED COMMANDER SECURITY FORCE (WANNI) COMMENCED HIS OFFICIAL VISITS

The Commander Security Force (Wanni) Major General D M H D Bandara RWP RSP USP made his official visit to 54 Infantry Division and its subordinate headquarters on 18 Jan 2021.

The Commander Security Force (Wanni) was warmly welcomed by the General Officer Commanding of 54 Infantry Division, Major General A A I J Bandara RWP RSP USP ndu. Subsequently mango sapling is planted in the premises of headquarters and appeared for a group photograph with officers 54 Infantry Division. After comprehensive briefing by the respective commanders, Commander Security (Wanni) visited 7 Vijayabahu Infantry Regimental.

Subsequently the Commander Security Force (Wanni) paid his courtesy to Arch Bishop Mannar, Rev Fr Dr. Emmanuel Fernando at the Arch Bishop House Mannar, followed by he attended to a Tree Planting Programme which was organized by the 542 Bde at Wilpaththu area and 100 of Mee saplings were planted with officers and other ranks.

The official visit concludes after visiting 542 Infantry Brigade where the Commander Security Force (Wanni) had interaction with all officers of 54 Infantry division and its subordinate headquarters.

The General Officer Commanding 54 Division, Major General A A I J Bandara RWP RSP USP ndu, Commander of 542 Brigade, Brigadier K W S Perera RWP and the Commander 543 Brigade, Brigadier B I Assalaarachchi RSP psc and Commanding Officers of 54 Div attended in the visits.
