Eleven fallen soldier poems were unveiled at War Heroes Monument of 54 Infantry Division, Thallady by Major General Indrajith Bandara RWP RSP USP ndu, GOC 54 Infantry Division on 01 January 2021 as part of the traditional flag hoisting ceremony.
The fallen soldier poems have been composed by Major General Indrajith Bandara himself as a tribute to officers and soldiers who laid down their lives in the name of the motherland. The poems are displayed on eleven pedestals that surround the monument which will serve as a constant reminder that fallen soldier are not forgotten and they will remain in our hearts forever.
Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of 54 Infantry division, were present during this event.
