The Troops of 562 Infantry Brigadeon the instruction by Commander Security Forces - Wanni, Major General WLPW Perera RWP RSP nduand General Officer Commanding - 56 InfantryDivision Major General HP Ranasinghe RWP RSP ndc, launched several disinfection programmes in and around public places at Vavuniya on 29 December 2020.
In order to suppress the spread of the COVID -19 virus. Accordingly, the troops of the 562 infantry Brigade under the supervision of Commander 562 infantry Brigade Colonel AMS Premawansa RWP RSP USP, sterilized public places in bus stands, railway station, welfare centers, state and private banks, market, public assembly points and three wheeler parks etc in Vavuniya area.
17 (V) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment carried out these disinfection campaigns with the assistance of Vauniya Police, Public Health Inspectors, Special task forces and urban council of respective areas.
