GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING 62 INFANTRY DIVISION DELIVERS THE CLOSING ADDRESS OF BATTALION TRAINING

Infantry Battalion Trg has proved its importance at war against terrorism, and it is continued in order to maintain resilient approach of the tps for future unpredictable situations. Battalion Trg is introduced focusing on development of units/sub units and individual in Internal Security and counter insurgency warfare, particularly in jungle and semi urban environments

In this backdrop, Battalion Training of 5 th Gajaba Regiment commenced on 8 September 2020 and terminated on 07 November 2020 at the Battalion Training School, Kalyanipura. This collective training was conducted over 48 working days with the participation of 10 x 344 Officers and Other Ranks.

Major General MKS Silva RWP RSP ndu General Officer Commanding 62 Infantry Division, graced the closing ceremony and delivered the closing address after awarding certificates and awards for outstanding performers.

All Brigade Commanders, CI- BTS, Staff Officers of 62 Infantry Division and all Officers and NCO’s of 5th Battalion Gajaba Regiment participated at the closing ceremony.
