TROOPS OF SECURITY FORCE WANNI RECOVERED LARGE QUANTITY OF SMUGGLED TURMERIC

Intelligence and Security Group of 54 Infantry Division combination with Whisky group of 3 Commando Regiment conducted a clearing operation in the general area of Kondachchi on 30 September and recovered 10 packs (434 kg) of Smuggled Turmeric stacked in packs while the stock had been kept hidden inside the jungle. Approximate value of the recovered Smuggled Turmeric is Rs 1.736 million.
