62 INFANTRY DIVISON OFFICERS ENLIGHTEN ON OIL SPILL CONTINGECY PLAN

At the request of the GOC 62 Inf Div, an awareness presentation was conducted by the Assistant Director Marine Environment Protection Authority (MEPA) Mr Sripathy (Trincomalee division) and Assistant Director DMC Trincomalee Mr Sugunathas on Sunday, 06 September 2020 at the 62 Inf Div HQ. The presentation scope was aligned on what is an oil spill, and ongoing fire eruption of the Diamond oil tanker and National Strategy on oil spill situations, possible role of the military etc.

GOC, Div staff, Bde Comds and all COs attended for the session.
