SECURITY FORCE WANNI CONTINUES ITS HOUSING PROJECT BY HANDING OVER A NEW HOUSE FOR LESS INCOME FAMILY

Security Force Wanni taking another step forward for the housing project, to low income family residing in Mihinthale area on 28 August 2020. This newly constructed house was declared open by Commander Security Force (Wanni) Major General Dammika Jayasinghe and ceremonially handed over to the family of Mrs. A S Kumuduni.

Mrs. A S Kumuduni living in Makichchawa, Mihinthale was living with her Parents and two children in great despair due to economic constraints for long time.

Philanthropist living in Singapore Mrs Nilanthi Liyanage who was keenly waiting for an opportunity to lend a helping hand to a destitute family, provided financial assistance to construct these house. Constructions of house were undertaken by 7 (V) SLAC under 212 Brigade with the supervision of General Officer Commanding - 21 Division.

This is the 20th home built and donated to the Security Forces Headquarters Wanni area for low income families and this community will be able to uplift the living standards of the low income families living in poverty and uplift the educational standard of their children

Commander 212 Brigade, Brigadier Anil Peiris RSP USP Colonel General Staff Officer Of 21 Division, Civil Affairs Officer of SFHQ Wanni, 21 Div, Commanding Officers of 7 (V) SLAC and family members of beneficiary were present at the ceremony.
