Troops of 56 Division manning road blocks along A9 road at Puthur and Omanthai on 25th and 26th of January 2020 apprehended 35.550 Kg’s of Kerala Ganja and 99.5 sq ft of illegally transporting timber while they were checking buses traveling along A9 road. A total of 10 buses were hand over to the police of Puliyankulam and Omanthay respectively for further investigations.
16 SLSR and 21 SLSR Bn’s of 561 and 563 Brigade was involved in this operation and apprehended cannabis, illegally timber and the drivers and conductors were too handed over the police of Puliyankulam and Omanthay for further investigations.
