As another programme of providing essential school items for needy students at far off schools in Padawiya, Mamaduwa, Bogaswewa, and Mahakachchikudiya areas was Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) organized a donation programme on 12 January 2020.
Over 30 selected students of deprived families in those areas were facilitated through this donation and it was sponsored by Sooriya Dharuwo Foundation with the patronage of the Chief Incumbent of Alulena Temple Kegalle Venerable Aththanagoda Somawanhsa thero. This programme was coordinated by the Headquarters Security Force (Wanni) under the guidance of commander Security Force (Wanni) Major General Rohitha Dharmasiri ndu psc.
Meantime, donation of dry ration packets for 50 low income families also were taken place parallel to this programme at Sampathnuwara Vidyalaya Welioya.
The chief in Incumbent of Alulena Temple Kegalle Venerable Aththanagoda Somawanhsa thero has stated that Sooriya Dharuwo Foundation will continue thir sponsorship for such programmes in future too.
The Commander Security Force (Wanni) Major General Rohitha Dharmasiri ndu psc graced the occasion as the chief guest.
Civil Affairs Officer of Headquarters Security Force (Wanni) Lieutenant Colonel G A L Kithsiri, Senior Officers, Officers, teachers, students and their parents were present at the occasion.
