In parallel with the New Year celebrations, the first working day of the New Year 2020 of the 62 Division was taken place on 01 January 2020 under the patronage of the General Officer Commanding, Major General Dhammika Jayasinghe. The programme was consisted with the hoisting the National flag, oration of the National Anthem, observing two - minute silence for the fallen heroes, reading out the state service oath delivering the Commander’s New Year message and they were followed by a tea party with all ranks of the Division.
