In view of uplifting the social standard and welfare of people in Wanni region, Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) initiated a housing project to provide permanent residences for destitute families living with many economical constrains.
This mega project was sponsored by many local and foreign philanthropists through their personal expenses and wishes to set a better life for many civilians in Wanni area undergoing thousands of hardships. .The projects is undertaken by troops of Security Force (Wanni) under the direct supervision of Commander Security Force (Wanni) Major General Jagath Gunawardena RSP VSV USP ndcpsc. Currently Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) has constructed 11 permanent houses and constructions of another 4 houses are in progress..
Beneficiaries of this social welfare project are being facilitated with electricity, essential house hold appliances for each house, furniture and a tube well as extra facilities other than the donated house..
The most significance of this mega project is, the donation of houses is focused on all ethnicities; Sinhala, Tamil and Muslims living in Wanni area since Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) constantly believes the ethnic and religious harmony in the way for strengthening the reconciliation process. .
