70TH ARMY DAY CELEBRATION AT HEADQUARTERS SECURITY FORCE (WANNI)

In line with the celebration of Army Day, Headquarters Security Force (Wanni) under the instruction of Commander Security Force (Wanni) Major General Jagath Gunawardena RSP VSV USP ndc psc, marked the 70th Army Anniversary on 10 October 2019 with the presence of all Officers and Other Ranks of Headquarters Security Force (Wanni).

Commencing the formalities, the Army Flag was hoisted in front of the Headquarters Complex. The event continued with the singing of the Army Song and observing a two-minute silence to commemorate the fallen War Heroes. Then, the Staff Officer I (Administration) Lieutenant Colonel S A B Dissanayake RWP RSP proceeded with reading out the message of the Commander of the Army.

All Officers, Other Ranks, Army militonlised Persons and Civilians serving in Headquarters Security Force (Wanni) participated in the celebration of this event.
