Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) stepped forward to construct another house for a needy family under the supervision of Commander Security Force (Wanni) Major General Jagath Gunawardena RSP VSV USP ndc psc.
The Ministry of National Economical Policies, Rehabilitation, Northern Development Youth Affairs and Vocational Training of Northern Province under its Housing Project will fund for the construction of house for Ms M Suganthani living in Munnimuruppu, Vavuniya under Division Secretariat Area (Tamil).
On instructions of Commander Security Force (Wanni), troops of 14 Sri Lanka Rocket Regiment were tasked to undertake the construction of house while providing relevant technical assistance.
The foundation stones to construct these houses were laid by the Commander 212 Brigade Colonel Anil Peiris RSP USP psc during a simple ceremony held on 16 September 2019.
Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) has already constructed 10 houses during last eight months for destitute families living in Madawachchiya, Vavuniya, Puleliya, Welioya and some other parts in the Wanni region.
Senior Officers of Headquarters Security Force (Wanni) along with 212 Brigade, the Commanding Officer of 14 Sri Lanka Rocket Regiment, the beneficiary and number of villagers were present at the occasion of laying the foundation stone.
