The official visit of the Commander Security Force (Wanni) Major General H J S Gunawardena RSP VSV USP ndc psc was made to Forward Maintenance Area (North Central) on 02 August 2019.
During the visit the Commander Security Force (Wanni) was warmly received by the Commander Forward Maintenance Area (North Central), Major General K M R P Karunathilake psc and bestowed with a Guard Turnout. Then, the Commander Security Force (Wanni) addressed a cross section of troops under Forward Maintenance Area (North Central) and subsequently gathered in an all rank tea party.
Afterwards, the Commander Security Force (Wanni) planted a Sandalwood (Sandun) sapling at the camp premises to mark his visit.
Next segment of the day’s event was a comprehensive briefing made by the Commander Forward Maintenance Area (North Central) in relevance to the responsibilities and duties vested to them as the higher most logistic establishment in the Wanni area.
Senior Officers of Headquarters Forward Maintenance Area (North Central), Battalion Commanders under Forward Maintenance Area (North Central) along with several Senior Officers and large number of Other Ranks made their presence during the visit.
