Fitness centre constructed on an initiative of General Officer Commanding 56 Division, Major General Prabath Dematanpitiya ndu psc,was declared opened by Commander Security Force (Wanni) Major General Kumudu Perera RWP RSP VSV USP ndu on 27 March 2019.
Major General Prabath Dematanpitiya ndu psc initiated the project due to his concern of the wellbeing of those under command to him. This gymnasium is equipped with modern equipmentpurchased through funds of the Division.
At the opening of new fitness centre, Commander Security Force (Wanni) appraised all who contributed to construct the building. Subsequently, Security Force Commander – Wanni planted a sapling at the camp premises to mark his visit and the opening of new fitness centre.
General Officer Commanding of 54, 61, 62, Principal Staff Officers of Headquarters Security Force (Wanni), several Senior Officers, Officer and large number of Other Ranks of Headquarters 56 Division participated the occasion.
