62 Division recently conducted a Fire Fighting programme for the troops under its Brigades and Battalion giving them a comprehensive training on Fire Fighting and use of Fire Fighting Equipment. Fire Fighting Officers and Firemen of Fire Brigade, Anuradhapura Branch conducted this one day programme on 20 February 2019 at the Headquarters, 62 Division.
Troops participated in this one-day program were educated on causes fire, techniques of fire controlling and fire fighting, safety measures, and number of demonstrations and hands on training on use of different techniques and equipment in fire fighting were also included in the training.
The training programme was conducted under the supervision of General Officer Commanding 62 Division Brigadier JMU Dhammika Jayasinghe.
