According to the concepts of enhancing the education of students and establishing the reconciliation among all ethnicities in Wanni region, the Commander Security Force (Wanni) Major General Kumudu Perera RWP RSP VSV USP ndu initiated another donation programme of distributing essential school items on 31 October 2018 at V/Saiwar Prakash Collage.
During a colourful ceremony, 100 students who obtained excellent results from the scholarship examination held in last August were gifted with valuable sets of needy school items for their secondary education. These students have been selected from Saiwar Prakash Tamil Collage, Khalal Makal Muslim Collage, Mamaduwa Sinhala School, Agrabodhi Sinhala Maha Vidyalaya, GSMS Tamil Collage Mundimurruppu, Rishard Badudeen Muslim School and Pavakkkulam Ganeshwaram Tamil School.
The Price Giving Ceremony was graced as the Chief Guest by General Officer Commanding of 61 Division Brigadier K D C G J Thilakarathne RWP RSP.
The Brigadier General Staff along with many Senior Officers of Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) participated in the event while the Divisional Secretary Mr Udayarasa, Assistant Education Directors, the Principal of V/Saiwar Prakash Collage together with Staff Members and large number of students were present at the occasion.
