In corresponding with the National Tree Planting Programme, troops of Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) launched a Tree Planting Campaign at the premises of Headquarters Security Force (Wanni) on 28 October 2018.
Intending to make the Headquarters premises full of greenery, troops planted 300 economically valued saplings such as Ebony, Margosa, Indian Mahogany, Halmilla, Beli, Wood apple, Jack,etc which inherent especially for the climate in Wanni region.
Apart from the main event organized in the Headquarters premises of Security Force (Wanni) all Divisions, Brigades and Battalions actively engaged in planting over 6000 saplings covering their respective areas in order to make an Eco Friendly environment.
These series of tree planting programmes have been launched under the supervision of Commander Security Force (Wanni) Major General Kumudu Perera RWP RSP VSV USP ndu.
