Troops of 25 Sri Lanka Light Infantry and 17 (V) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment under the direction of the Commander 611 Brigade Colonel L D S S Liyanage RSP USP psc Hdmc continue in repairing the Vairavamundimurippu tank bund for the 3rd consecutive day,toavert the outflow ofwater from several places of the bund. Initially the troops were able to detect the gushing out water from the centre of the bund and they promptly engage in repairing the detected places by preventing a disastrous situation.
The General Officer Commanding of 61 Division Brigadier K D C G J Tilakarathne RWP RSP personally involved in directing his under command troopsto counter the situation by coordinating especially with District Secretariat Office to take the situation under control.
