Troops under 54 Division organised series of events to mark the 69th Army Anniversary at the Mannar Town, several religious places 54 Division Headquarters premises and different under command establishment to 54 Division.
Coincide to the these celebrations, all Officers and Other Ranks of the Headquarters of 54 Division offered a sumptuous lunch for children at Annei Islamic Children’s Home in Mannar. After taking lunch, every child was gifted with a school bag, books and essential school items. Apart from that money orders each worth of Rs. 1000.00 were gifted to 16 students to buy pairs of shoes.
This Children’s Home is devoted to take care abandoned children. Number of children are being looked after with great care and authorities of the Children’s Home paid their solemn gratitude to the General Officer Commanding of 54 Division W G H A S Bandara RWP RSP ndu together with all Officers and Other Ranks of the Division Headquarters for the philanthropy that they exhibited by organising such a programme.
