As the first meritorious event among series of programmes to mark the 69th Anniversary of Sri Lanka Army, troops of 61 Division organised a blood donation campaign at Headquarters premises of 61 Division on 04 October 2018 under the supervision of General Officer Commanding of 61 Division Brigadier K D C G J Thilakarathne RWP RSP.
A medical team of Blood Banks in General Hospitals Anuradhapura and Vavuniya, under Dr Chathurani Dissananyake contributed their immense support to conduct this blood donation camp and over 125 military personals from Headquarters of 61 Division and 612 Brigades donated blood.
The General Officer Commanding of 61 Division, Senior Officers, Officers and number of Other Ranks of 61 Division and under command Brigades gathered in the occasion.
