SECURITY FORCE HEADQUARTERS (WANNI) CELEBRATES ITS 19TH ANNIVERSARY
Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) celebrates its 19th anniversary with series of events during 19, 23, 25 and 26 November 2017 with the participation of Commander, Security Force (Wanni) Major General Kumudu Perera RWP RSP USP ndu.\r\n\r\nAt the outset, a Bodhi Pooja was organized on 19 November 2017 at the camp premises conducted by the chief incumbent of Madukanda Temple Ven. Kirigallawe Wimalasara thero.\r\n\r\nThe formal ceremony commenced with a Guard Turnout and a Guard of Honour accorded by the troops of 8 Field Sri Lanka Engineers. General Officers Commanding of all Divisions, Commander - FMA, All Brigade Commanders, large number of Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks representing all Divisions were present at the occasion.\r\n\r\nLater on, the Commander marked the 19th Anniversary of Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) by planting a Red Sandalwood sapling at the camp premises.\r\n\r\nA commemorative photograph was taken with General Officers Commanding, Brigade Commanders and Staff Officers of the Headquarters. A second photograph was taken with the Senior Non-Commissioned Officers. Same evening Commander Security Force (Wanni) was invited to a get together at Corporals’ club.\r\n\r\nThereafter, Senior Non Commissioned officers organized a get together at Warrant Officers’/ Sergeants’ Mess to mark the anniversary with the presence of Commander Security Force (Wanni) as the chief guest in the evening on 24 November 2017.\r\n\r\nIn addition to that, all rank dinner was organized at the camp Auditorium on 25 November 2017. As the culminating event a colourful musical program with performances of Army Dancing Team was staged on 26 November 2017. The occasion was graced by the Commander Security Force (Wanni) as the chief guest.\r\n\r\n\r\n
