BRITISH COUNCIL ENGLISH COURSE WAS CONDUCTED IN SECURITY FORCE HEADQUARTERS (WANNI)
Twenty officers were awarded the certificates on 29 October 2017 after following the English communication development course, organized by the Security Force Headquarters (Wanni).\r\n\r\nThe course was based on customized speaking and listening skills for effective communication in English Language and it was conducted from 18 to 29 October 2017 by the Manager in Business English of British Council, Ms. Lucy Nichols. \r\n\r\nThe aim of conducting the course is to improve the reading, writing, listening and speaking skills of the officers who are working in under-command battalions of Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) Area of Responsibility.\r\n\r\nAll student officers were engaged enthusiastically in class room assignments, discussions, presentations, various kinds of language related activities etc, and a drama session was organized on day prior to the termination of the course.\r\n \r\nThe certificate awarding ceremony was headed by the Colonel General Staff of Security Force Headquarters (Wanni), Colonel D B C Jayasinghe RSP psc with the participation of the General Staff Officer II (Training), Major S U B Pilimathalawwe psc.\r\n
