The Wanni innovations exhibition was taken place with the participation of 21, 54, 56, 61, 62 Divisions and Forward Maintenance Area (North Central) on 23 and 24 September 2017 at the premises of National Collage of Education, Vauniya.\r\n\r\nThis exhibition is basically organized on account of enhancing the innovating skills of troops in Security Force (Wanni) area of responsibility and it was consisted 40 exhibition stoles. The exhibition was inaugurated with the presence of the General officer Commanding of 21 Division Major General W R P De Silva USP IG.\r\n\r\nThree Innovations among forty were awarded prizes and certificates after a fair judgment by Senior Lecture of Chemistry, University of Jaffna Mr P Eingaram and the Senior Lecture of Food and Nutritious Mrs Menaka Silvaharan who represented the Judge Board.\r\n\r\nFirst place and Second place were awarded to 14 (V) Sri Lanka Light Infantry and 2 Corp of Engineers Services respectively while third place was being awarded to 7 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment.\r\n\r\nThe exhibition was organized with the supervision of General Officer Commanding, 56 Division Brigadier T J Nanayakkara RWP USP ndu with the guidance of the Commander Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) Major General M K D Perera RWP RSP ndu.\r\n\r\nThe Commander Forward Maintenance Area (North Central), Brigadier General Staff, Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) several Senior Officers and Officers by representing all under command formations, Sri Lanka Navy, Sri Lanka Air Force, number of School teachers and students in Vauniya Zone and civilians in nearby areas were present at the occasion.
