A DENGUE PREVENTION PROGRAM WAS LAUNCHED BEFORE THE THIRD TERM OF SCHOOLS IN THE RESPONSIBLE AREA TO 61 DIVISION
Despite the presence of dengue in Sri Lanka for a long period of time, it has become a major public health issue with a high morbidity and mortality. In order to the prevailing condition, number of dengue prevention programs, awareness programs and medical campaigns are being conducted in every part of the country. \r\n\r\n\r\nAs a part of that, a dengue prevention program was conducted to cover the 41 schools in the responsiblearea to 61 Division and it was headed by 611, 612 and 613 Brigades with the supervision and guidance of the General Officer Commanding 61 Division Major General D M S Dissanayake WWV RWP RSP USP ndu.\r\n\r\n\r\nThe prevention program was coordinated by the Director of Zonal Educational in Vauniya (North), Mr Sri Skandharaja and Assistant Medical Officer, Vauniya Dr. Rukshan Hendalage.\r\n
