THE FIRST VISIT OF NEWLY APPOINTED COMMANDER SECURITY FORCE HEADQUARTERS (WANNI)
The newly appointed Commander - Security Force Headquarters (Wanni), Major General M K D Perera RWP RSP USP ndu, made the first official visit to HQ 21 Division on 2 August 2017. The Commander was warmly and ceremoniously welcomed by the General Officer Commanding of 21 Division, Major General W R P de Silva USP ndc IG, by awarding a Guard Turnout and a Guard of Honour at the premises of Headquarters 21 Division. The official visit to the Division was subsequent to paying homage to the high priests of the most venerated Temples to obtain blessings. \r\n\r\nDuring the visit, the General Officer Commanding made a comprehensive briefing pertaining to the Division at the conference hall. As follow on events group photographs were taken with Officers / Senior Non Commissioned Officers and the SF Commander addressed a cross section of 21 Division troops. Culminating the tour inside the premises of HQ 21 Division the SF Commander joined all ranks for tea. \r\n\r\nAs part of the official visit to 21 Division area the Commander visited 213 Brigade in Gajasinghapura accompanied by General Officer Commanding 21 Division. During the visit to 213 Brigade the Commander Security Force (Wanni) was warmly welcomed by the Brigade Commander, Brigadier S M S P B Samarakoon RWP RSP With a brief presentation on the Brigade area. The Commander also visited and inspected the construction site of ammunition dumps prior to his departure from the Brigade.\r\n
