LAUNCH OF SIOT REFRESHER COURSE AT BATTALION TRAINING SCHOOL 62 DIVISION - KALYANIPURA
Inauguration of Refresher course for SIOT qualified Officers and Soldiers was held at Battalion training School, Kalyanipura on 25 January 2017. This course was launched as per the direction of the Commander Security Force Wanni, Major General JR Kulatunga RSP ndu psc. based on the concept initiated by himself. Training school was renovated and facilities were upgraded with the blessings of the Security Force Commander and the assistance was given by Commander Forward Maintenance Area (North Central), Commanding Officers of all Logistic battalions, Brigade Commanders and Battalion Commanders under 62 Division and Staff of 62 Division under the supervision of the General Officer Commanding 62 Division Maj Gen B H M A Wijesinghe USP ndu psc. Aim of this timely effort is to refresh the knowledge of selected personnel already qualified in Special Infantry Operations who have performed a predominant role during Humanitarian Operation. Preliminary course comprised with four Officers and thirty two Other Rankers from 26 SLSR, 11 GW, 9 GR and 27 GR battalions respectively. Resource panel/ Instructors were organized by 62 division and Officer Instructors were provided by Divisions under command to Security Force (Wanni).\r\n\r\nCommander Security Force Wanni, Major General JR Kulatunga RSP ndu psc, General Officer Commanding 62 Division Maj Gen B H M A Wijesinghe USP ndu psc, General Officer Commanding 61 Division Maj Gen SHFP Perera RSP ndu, Brigade Commanders of 621 and 622 Brigades, Commanding Officers and officers and soldiers from under command Brigades and Battalions were also participated at the occasion.\r\n
