A SERIES OF SOCIAL HOSPITALITY PROGRAM WAS ORGANIZED BY 62 DIVISION
62 Division organized a social hospitality campaign under the direction of Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) for the villagers of Veherathanna with the sermon of the chief incumbent, Bambalapitiya Sri Wajirarama temple most Ven. Threekunamalaye Ananda Mahanayaka thero.\r\n\r\nThe villagers of Veherathanna were given number of facilities to uplift their living condition through this campaign which was held on 08 January 2017.\r\n\r\nAs a result of that, troops under 26 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment contributed their service to construct three Agro wells to fulfill the requirement of drinking water in the area.\r\n\r\nIn concurrence with that, five hundred dry ration packets and set of books were distributed among the selected poor families and the students of Roshan Mahanama Vidyalaya, Veherathanna.\r\n\r\nIn addition to that, a medical clinic was conducted by two medical officers of Sri Jayawardhanapura Hospital.\r\n\r\nThis social hospitality campaign was guided by Mr. Lakshman Mahanama, the coordinating secretary of Bambalapitiya Sri Wajiraramaya affiliating with Civil Coordinating Affairs branch of Security Force Headquarters (Wanni).\r\n\r\nThe entire program was launched with guidance and supervision of the Commander, Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) Major General J R Kulathunga RSP ndc psc.\r\n\r\nThe General Officer Commanding, 62 Division Major General BHMA Wijesinghe USP ndupsc graced the occasion as the chief guest and troops of 26 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment gave an immense support to make success this event.\r\n\r\nBrigade Commander - 623 Brigade, Commanding Officers, Senior Officers in different formations and large number of civilians in nearby villages were present at the occasion.\r\n
