SECURITY FORCE COMMANDER (WANNI) MAKES A FORMAL VISIT TO 61 DIVISION HEADQUARTERS AT VELANKULAM, VAVUNIYA
\r\nMajor General Ruwan Kulatunga RSP ndc psc, Commander, Security Force (Wanni) made his first formal visit to Headquarters 61 Division on 22 Nov 2016.\r\n\r\nThe Commander Security Forces Headquarters (Wanni) was warmly welcomed Maj Gen S H F P Perera RSP ndu, the General Officer Commanding, 61 Division on arrival to Division. During his stay in the Division, Commander Security Forces Headquarters (Wanni) planted a tree sapling at Headquarters premises. After that Commander Security Forces Headquarters (Wanni) addressed troops under command to 61 Division which was followed by an all rank tea party.\r\n\r\nA comprehensive briefing was conducted by General Officer Commanding 61 Division on the role and tasks, security situation and reconciliation efforts in the area. A brief discussion that followed enabled Commander Security Forces Headquarters (Wanni) to have a fruitful discussion with Brigade Commanders and Battalion Commanders in 61 Division on administrative, operational and welfare matters pertaining to troops in the Division.\r\n\r\nCommander Security Forces Headquarters (Wanni) signed the visitors’ book at the Officers’ mess prior concluding his visit to the Division Headquarters. Senior officers, officers and other ranks attended the occasion.\r\n
