THE FIRST VISIT OF NEWLY APPOINTED COMMANDER, SECURITY FORCE HEADQUARTERS (WANNI)
The newly appointed Commander, Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) Major General J R Kulathunga RSP ndc psc visited 54 Division and major religious places in Mannar on 21 November 2016. This was the first administrative visit of The Commander after he was taking over the duties.\r\n\r\nThe Commander was welcomed by the General Officer Commanding of 54 Division and bestowed with a guard turnout at the entrance of the 54 Division.\r\nAs the next segment of the event, The Commander planted a mango sapling inside the camp premises to remark the visit.\r\n\r\nLater on the foundation stone for a new building of Warrant Officers/Sergeants’ mess was laid by The Commander. Finally, The Commander addressed the troops and participated in an all rank tea party which was organized by the 54 Division.\r\n\r\nThen the Commander visited Ven. Ambagaswewa Sangharakkitha, The Chief Incumbent - Matota Raja MahaViharaya, The Chief Incumbent - Murukkan temple and Rayappu Joseph, The Bishop in Mannar.\r\nThe General Officer Commanding, Brigade Commanders, Senior Officers and Officers gathered in those occasions.
