THE 7TH POTENTIAL COURSE OF COMMANDING OFFICERS AND SECOND IN COMMAND WAS COMPLETED SUCCESSFULLY
The 7th potential course which is organized by Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) to develop the career of commanding officers and second in commands has been concluded successfully on 04 October 2016.The course was commenced on 04 September 2016 with the participation of 20 Commanding officers and Second in Command by representing various battalions.\r\n\r\nThe main purpose of this course was to mold an officer with sound knowledge on his profession and refresh them to be a versatile character on their respective fields. So this course was started to form the battalion commanders to face new challenges emerged with the conclusion of the humanitarian operation. With its end battalion commander slowly but surely shifted towards a manager and a leader together with the tactical command responsibilities. Another aspect of starting above course was to inspire professionalism into middle level officers. Therefore, the programs of the course were consisted with many subjects such as military subjects, presentations, public speaking etc.\r\n\r\nThe guidance and leadership of the Commander of Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) Major General MHSB Perera RWP RSP USP ndu psc and the support of all ranks was a great feedback to success this program.
