COMMEMORATION AND PASSING MERITS FOR LATE MAJOR GENERAL SUMITH MANAWADU
Under the cordial direction of the Commander Security Force (Wanni) Major General MHSB Perera RWP RSP USP ndu psc a hermitage was constructed and offered for the Ven. Monks at Sulugulu Viharaya Anuradhapura, on 27 August 2016, for commemoration and passing merits to Late Major General S R Manawduge RWP RSP ndu psc IG who provided an invaluable service for the country and left us due to an unexpected accident. \r\nThe beloved wife and three children of Major General S R Manawduge RWP RSP ndu psc IG participated for the occation and planted a sandalwood plant at the temple premises. A Bodhi Pooja Pinkama and an Alms Hut (Dansela) for civilians had been organized simultaneously at the same location. \r\nThe Commander Security Force (Wanni), General Officer Commanding of 21 Division, Brigade Commanders and Senior Officers had participated the event.
