\r\nA colourful and elegant Wesak Zone had been organized according to a wholesome concept of the Commander Security Force (Wanni) Major General MHSB Perera RWP RSP USP ndu psc and with the direction and guidance of the General Officer Commanding of 56 Division at Nandimathragama Buddhist Centre on 21, 22 and 23 May 2016. The Wesak Zone was opened for the public by the General Officer Commanding of 56 Division Brig I P Ranasinghe RWP RSP psc with the blessing of Pirith by the Buddhist Monks. \r\n\r\nAll the Brigade Commanders of 56 Division, Commandant of the 56 Division Bn Training School, Commandant of Entry and Exit Point of Omanthei , Commanding Officers and all the officers of 56 Division had participated for this occasion. A Wesak Lantern Exhibition as well as a Bhakthi Gee Programme presented by the students of Bogaswewa Maha Vidyalaya was held at the Wesak Zone. All the participants were treated with Koththamalli and Belimal Dansela at the premises. \r\n\r\nEven though a Rice Dansela had been organized to be held simultaneously, it was cancelled and all the collected food items for the Rice Dansela were donated for the displaced people by flood and landslides due to the existing weather condition of the country. \r\n\r\n
