NEW GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING OF 56 DIVISION TOOK OVER DUTIES
Brigadier IP Ranasinghe RWP RSP psc took over the duties as the new General Officer Commanding of the 56 Division on 6 September 2015 at the 56 Division headquarters, Kokeliya. New GOC assumed the duties in a simple yet elegant ceremony.\r\n\r\nBrigadier IP Ranasinghe RWP RSP psc inspected the Guard Turnout and a Guard of Honour was presented by the troops of the 56 Division. A religious ceremony was also conducted when assuming duties. In order to mark the day new GOC planted a tree and ceremony was culminated with a tea with all ranks.\r\n\r\nCommanders of 561 and 563 Brigades, Commanding Officers, officers and other ranks attended the ceremony .\r\n
