NEW GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING OF 61 DIVISION ASSUMED DUTIES
Brigadier SHFP Perera RSP took over the duties as the new General Officer Commanding of the 61 Division on 5 August 2015 at the 61 Division headquarters, Velllankulam. New GOC assumed the duties in a simple yet elegant ceremony.\r\n \r\nBrigadier SHFP Perera RSP inspected the Guard Turnout and a Guard of Honour was presented by the troops of the 61 Division. A religious ceremony was also conducted when assuming duties. In order to mark the day new GOC planted a tree and ceremony was culminated with a tea with all ranks.\r\n \r\nCommanders of 611,612 and 613 Brigades, Commanding Officers, officers and other ranks attended the ceremony .
