TROOPS OF 56 DIVISION FULFILL URGENTLY NEEDED BLOOD AT VAVUNIYA HOSPITAL BLOOD BANK
Headquarters 56 Division organized a blood donation campaign to fulfill the requirements of the Vavuniya Base Hospital Blood Bank. The campaign was held at the main dressing station, 56 Divisions in Kokeliya Vavuniya on 16 Tuesday 2015.\r\n\r\nOn the directions of Brigadier D M W W W M R B M Daulagala RSP Officiating General Officer Commanding 56 Division, Dr.G M T R Bandara, Dr. R M P P Rajapaksha and staff of the Vavuniya Hospital Blood Bank conducted the Blood donation camp with the fullest support of the officers and other ranks of 56 Division.\r\n\r\nMore than 250 Soldiers of several Brigades and Battalions under 56 Division with civilians living around the camp premises donated Blood to the Blood Bank as a response for the request of the hospital staff at time the Blood Bank has run short of Blood required for the patients waiting to undergo urgent surgeries.
